The Knights of Columbus St. Thomas Council is sponsoring a
Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest for the students at St. Thomas School.
Past Grand Knight John Chandonnet met with Principal Donna Jacques on November 9
th to iron out the final details.
There will be three divisions: Grades K thru 2, Grades 3 thru 5 and grades 6 thru 8. The winner in each division will receive a Walmart $50 gift card. The contest will involve the student preparing a poster that best sends the message that Christmas is all about Jesus Christ – and not Santa Claus. Each poster will be judged on a 100-point system: 30 points for artwork, 30 points for the slogan and 40 points for the overall impact the poster delivers.
Deadline to submit posters will be Friday, December 14
th. Judging will take place on Monday, December 17
th. There will be four judges, two Knights from the St. Thomas Knights of Columbus and two St. Thomas School teachers or volunteers. Contest winners will be announced before the students depart for their Christmas break. Each student who participates in the contest will receive a certificate.
