St. Thomas Council Knights were in force at Shaw’s Supermarket in South Sanford selling raffle tickets. Proceeds of raffle ticket sales will go toward the Annual Knights of Columbus Childrens’ Christmas Party. Donations were also accepted. A total $1,162 was collected from raffle ticket sales and donations. Three cash prizes in the amounts of $300, $200 and $100 respectfully will be raffled off at the October 11
th Council meeting.
The St. Thomas Council puts on a Christmas party for area needy children each year. This year’s Childrens’ Christmas Party will be held at the St. Therese of Lisieux Parish Hall on Saturday, December 8
th. The kids will be treated to pizza and cake; then receive a gift from Santa. Special thanks go out to Rene Robichaud, John Chandonnet, Ron Robichaud, Richard L'Heureux, Jerry Newport, Manny D’Ameral, Terry Sylvanus, Greg Semo and Tina Semo for selling raffle tickets that weekend.
