St. Thomas Council awards Knight of the Year to Terry Sylvanus, who has been a knight in the St. Thomas Council for the past four years.
So far, Terry has served the council as Deputy Grand Knight, Grand Knight for two years, Program Director and Membership Director.
As Grand Knight, Terry spearheaded the bell fund which resulted in Holy Family Church again having bells for the first time in 20 years. Another major accomplishment was coordinating the furniture sale at the convent which raised over $6,000 for St. Thomas School. As Grand Knight, the St. Thomas Council achieved Star Council in each of his two years in that position.
As membership director, the council has met its new member recruitment goals for the past four years. This helped the St. Thomas Council earn another Star Council award.
Besides attending to all his duties, Terry worked tirelessly assisting with various council projects, such as the Lenten Haddock Suppers, The Tootsie Roll Drive, working the concession at Sanford Mainers home games and working at the Acton Fair.
The St. Thomas Council is grateful for all of Terry's contributions. This award is a small token of the council's appreciation for Terry Sylvanus' hard work and dedication.
