The St. Thomas Council has named John Greenlee as Knight of the Month for August 2023.

John serves as Financial Secretary for the St. Thomas Council. John is a longtime knight, having formerly served as Financial Secretary for the Sanford Council. The position of Financial Secretary is the most important position in the council – even more important than that of the Grand Knight. He provides continuity in the council and has the responsibility of collecting dues as well as ensuring that the council's financial recordings are kept up to date. Additionally, he ensures that membership records are current, issues membership cards, files regular reports to the district, regional, state and supreme offices.

Besides serving this revered position, John is also a Sir Knight and serves as Faithful Comptroller for the W. Robert Bachelder 4^th Degree Assembly, as well as serving as an Honor Guard.
