Frank and Jean Pease, once again, hosted the Annual Right to Life Walk in Sanford. Frank and Jean have been serving as Pro-Life Chair Couple for the Maine State Knights of Columbus for the past 10 years.
St. Therese of Lisieux parishioners, St. Thomas Council Knights and friends met at the St. Ignatius Convent parking lot at Riverside Avenue on a gorgeous Saturday morning to embark upon this walk. There were 25 walkers in all.
The two-mile walk around Number-One Pond started on Riverside Avenue, crossed Route 202, and continued to the end of Riverside Avenue. The route then followed Ocsar Emery Drive up to River Street. The route went down River Street, then onto Winter Street, and finally back on Riverside Avenue returning to the parking lot.
Door prizes were drawn after the walk. Each participant received a Right to Life tee-shirt. A total $1,095 was raised for Maine Right to Life.
