The St. Thomas and Springvale Councils put on a Memorial Mass at 7:30 am at Notre Dame Church in Springvale, Maine to honor 19 Brother Knights who had recently passed away.
The widows and immediate family of each deceased Knight were invited. 19 red carnations were placed in a vase before the pulpit to represent each of the deceased Knights. The name of each deceased Knight was called from the pulpit after the prayers of the faithful. Four Honor Guard were also present at the service.
The widows, immediate family members of the deceased and Knights were invited to a continental breakfast at the Springvale Social Club following the Memorial Service.
The deceased Brother Knights that were honored included:
Tim Adams, Gilles Auger, Wayne Bazemore, Raymond Beaddoin, Sr., Donald Binette, Andre Cote, Robert Cote, Albert D. Fournier, Sr., Armand Fontaine, Thomas Meunier, Hampy Michaud, Donald Paquin, James B. Pickett, Rev Paul Plante, Leon P. Provencher, Ernest Ross, Robert M. St. Pierre, Rev. Clement D. Thibodeau and
Edward Townsend.
