The W. Robert Bachelder 4th Degree Assembly selects Ray Sargent as Sir Knight of the Year. Ray has been a knight for the past 29 years.
Ray Sargent, a Past Faithful Navigator of the Assembly, has served just about every position in the Council level, the Maine State Council and the Fourth Degree.
Ray Sargent is currently the District 15 Deputy. Ray was the Right to Life Program Director in the St. Thomas Council; but had to step down from that position in order to once again accept a position on the Maine State Knights of Columbus.
Besides all of his duties, Ray is involved in various St. Thomas Council projects such as, the Lenten Haddock Suppers, the Tootsie Roll Drive, working the concession at Sanford Mainers home games, the Baby Bottle Drive, Special Olympics, the Right to Life March around the Church, Eucharistic Minister and helping out at the Acton Fair.
Don Leeman, the current 4th Degree Faithful Navigator, found that Ray Sargent had a vast resource of knowledge and frequently consulted Ray whenever he needed advice.
The W. Riobert Bachelder 4th Degree Assembly is grateful for all of Ray Sargent's contributions. This award is a small token of the Assembly's appreciation for Ray Sargent's hard work and dedication!
