The St. Thomas Council Knights of Columbus received several awards and accolades at the Annual Knights of Columbus State Convention at Sunday River Resort in Newry, Maine during the last weekend in April.

District Deputy Ray Sargent presented the awards at St. Thomas Council's May 9th council meeting. The St. Thomas Council received the Maine State Council Award for Outstanding Life Activity, an Award for Outstanding Faith Activity. The St. Thomas Council also received a Columbian Award for submitting Surge Reports, recruiting new Knights and undergoing safety training.
In addition, the St. Thomas Copuncil received several Certificates of Appreciation for the many activities in which the council partook, which included:
Sponsoring Father Tracy as Maine State Chaplin of the Year
Sponsoring various blood drives
Sponsoring St. Anthony the Hermit Parish for the Charity Fund
Partaking in various Faith in Action activities
Participating in the Hands Around the Capital rally
Sponsoring a Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest at St. Thomas School
Participating in the Marian Icon for Christian Persecution program
Membership recruitment
Participating in the Tootsie Roll Drive
Undergoing Safe Enviroment training
Participating in the Silver Rose program
Sponsoring a Youth Basketball Free-Throw competition
Participating in the Ultrasound Initiative program
