St. Thomas Council received several awards and accolades at the Maine State Knights of Columbus 126th Annual State Convention, which took place at the Senator Inn in Augusta during the weekend of May 21 to 23, 2021.
Maine State Council awards were presented at the welcome dinner. Brother Jerome received the Spiritual Advisor of the Year Award. Father Bill received the Council Chaplin of the Year award. The St. Thomas Council also received a Right to Life Award for the March Around the Church Ray Sargent had organized to remember the 48th anniversary of Roe v. Wade Supreme Court Decision in 1973.
The St. Thomas Council also received a check for its participation in the Tootsie Roll Drive. Councils receive a portion of the proceeds they collect during the drive. Ray Sargent received the check on behalf of the council. The St. Thomas Council ranked 9th out of the 32 councils that participated in the 2020-21 Program for People with Disabilities – as far as money raised went.
In addition, the St. Thomas Council received certificates of appreciation for initiating the following programs:

Food for Families Program
Keep Christ in Christmas Program
Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest
