Pease Family Named May 2020 Family of the Month

July 9, 2020The St. Thomas Council, Knights of Columbus, proudly presents Frank and Jean Pease as our Family of the Month for May.
Frank and Jean are the proud parents of John 53, Jim 51, and Anne 47.
John served the church as an altar server from 5yrs old to 18, attained Eagle Scout and was awarded the Father/Son award through St. Ignatius Church.
Jim also served as altar server from 5-18 years of age and attained “Life” Scout.
Anne served the church as a CCD teacher for two years.
Frank has served our parish as Chairman of the Parish Council for 3years at St. Ignatius, and the Parish Council for eight years.
He served as “Institutional “rep for the Boy Scouts for 25 years.
He is a Knight of Columbus member for 15 years, Grand Knight for 2 years, and District Deputy for 2 years.
Jean served the church as President of the Ladies of St. Anne for 5 years, Chairwoman of the church Life committee for 8 years, Chair of the “Pickle Table” at our church fair for 30 years, she has taught CCD for 10 years, and is the chairperson for “Layette Sets” for… Jean was also Board secretary for the Daughters of Isabelle and present Board Treasurer.
TOGETHER, they have served as Eucharistic Ministers for 40 years, Lectors for 10 years, Christmas Fair Chairs for several years, Organizers of our Haddock Dinners for 12 years, Pascal meal for 3 years, Food Pantry for 6 months, PRO LIFE Directors for State of Maine Knights of Columbus for 13 years, Pro Life Walk/Sanford for 12 years, Hands Around the Capitol for 12 years, Board Members for Maine Right to Life 12 years, and Board Members for the Office of Public Policy/Maine for 5 years. They make numerous trips to Augusta in support of Pro-Life issues and against Pro Choice legislation.
The time, travel, and sacrifices it takes to accomplish these feats is awesome. The commitment Frank and Jean have made to our Parish, the community, and to the church is amazing, a team effort as Husband and Wife that is to be admired.
It is my honor to present the St. Thomas Council Knights of Columbus, May Family of the Month, a family team dedicated to our Church and Community for over forty years, Frank and Jean Pease.
